3 August 2022

Well, c'mon everybody and let's get together tonight!

And we did!

After two years of postponements and lockdown interruptions, the GreazeFest returned to Redland Showgrounds with a blaze of colour and old school style, as thousands of friends and fans got back together to celebrate GreazeFest and all it’s trimmings.

It was wonderful to see everyone together again, as rockers and rodders from all around Australia and New Zealand reunited at GreazeFest.

Was this the best GreazeFest ever? Is there such a thing? Could you name a favourite child, or a favourite song? All I can say is there was a very special vibe in the air this year, one that put a smile on your dial and a spark in your heart. The return of the event reminded me of the significance of our connections in our community and our culture. In other words… gosh it was good to see everyone again!

Here is a big thank you to everyone who attended GreazeFest, I hope you had a great weekend.

GreazeFest is a custom built machine with hundreds of moving parts. It takes 12 months to build and once we hit the gas pedal, the whole weekend flies by in the blink of an eye. The weekend moved fast and we squeezed in as much fun as we could over the three days.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the GreazeFest, including all of our wonderful Australian bands and DJs, to Jesse Dayton and Lil’ Mo from the USA, to the hot rod drivers and their magnificent machines, the artists in the Built For Speed art show, to the pinups on parade, to the dancers and their endless energy, to our photographers and to the market vendors and our food truckers.

Sincere thanks go to our dedicated Robot Productions event team and support crew, who keep this machine running smoothly.

Thank you to the Redland City Council for sponsoring GreazeFest and welcoming the GreazeFest to Redlands.

It has been great to see everyone’s photos on socials. Here is a link to some of Pix by Pete pics:

We will update you with the hot rod show trophy winners and any other bits n pieces in the coming days.

The dates for next year are: August 4, 5, 6, 2023.

See you there!
